Chip Shortage Survey Questions
Introduction
Chips are an essential part of every electrical gadget for technological breakthroughs. As
a result, producers have come to rely on them more and more over the years, leading to their
rising needs, as they cannot function without them. This has, in turn, led to an increase in
demand for semiconductors chips as the supply is low (Yeung, 2022). This survey research
questions and sample questionnaire template help to evaluate the shortage of semiconductors
chips due to raw materials in the United States of America. How did the administration
leadership of the USA lead to this scenario in most of her region? This online question survey
aims to get the different perspectives of the stakeholders in the chips industry on how they have
been affected by this scenario and how the government’s leadership contributed to their distress.
Note: This supplier questionnaire is meant to be used for the purpose of gathering information
about the shortage of semiconductor chips due to raw materials and if a failure in the USA
leadership contributed to it. Each of our participants is advised to take part in an online survey
that we have developed. Your entire contribution will be kept in strict confidence and put to use
solely for research purposes (Kost & Correa da Rosa, 2018). We also appreciate you taking the
time to help us conduct our research. Please fill out the following questionnaire;

In the past decade, significantly since
the onset of the global pandemic, the
demand for chips has rapidly grown by
about 13%per annum leading to a
gradual shortage in the market. The
US is one of the critical dominants in
global chip production. It faces a
steady decrease in production due to
the insufficient availability of its raw
materials, unable to meet the demand.

The government imposed a massive
mandatory lockdown that affected the

6
The government also imposed strict
policies on non-international statecraft
between the USA and other leading
chips producers such as China,
Taiwan, South Korea, and the
Netherlands. The State thus was left
dry on supply as the demand
increased.

The government should help producers
look for alternative means to get the
raw materials from the less affected
leading chip-producing countries
through the correct protocol.

9: What is the expected shortage duration of chips in the USA?
o The shortage of chips is expected to continue for a few more months, from 2022
to mid-2023.
o Right after the COVID-19 pandemic vaccine was administered (2021).
10. The following are some preventative measures chip companies are advised to consider. Make
notes and rate how helpful they are.
a)
The companies need to cut short excess surplus production to prevent the
closing down of the production process when the raw materials are depleted.
b)
They should engage in order–based production during the shortage of
resources to keep up with the market.
c)
Production and selling of the products should be considered during the
shortage period.
